Personal Statement:
Since 2018, Dr. Nancy Schreiber has served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. She is responsible for all academic strategy and programming including bachelor, masters, doctoral programs, continuing education, and professional studies. She has a strong and successful track record integrating community partnerships within the academic experience benefitting both students and corporate and non-profit entities. As a senior leader at Salve, Nancy is focused on building a student experience that leverages liberal arts education and professional programs in a manner that brings Salve’s mission to the market.
Prior to her position at Salve Regina, Nancy served as Dean of The Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In that capacity, she focused on transforming business education in a manner that integrated the Munday School of Business with the rich and robust business ecosystem of Austin. To that end, she led the effort to create new academic programs and educational experiences to produce graduates, who serve others with an entrepreneurial mindset, value the social enterprise, understand the process of innovation, utilize business analytics, and know how to engage in global business practice.
Nancy is also an experienced business psychologist who has provided executive coaching and leadership development to a diverse set of organizations. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, as well as start-ups, in efforts that have ranged from large-scale culture change initiatives to small team leadership projects.
Dr. Schreiber received her B.A. in Sociology from Oberlin College 1985 and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1991. She is a licensed psychologist in the states of Texas and Rhode Island.
