First-Year Residence Halls
Located near academic buildings, Salve Regina’s first-year residence halls offer the perfect introduction to campus living. These residence halls feature communal spaces and additional opportunities for students to develop new friendships and pursue new campus interests.
Upper-Level Residence Halls
Salve Regina’s upper-level residence halls offer a variety of living options, including apartment-style layouts and rooms in historic buildings. Upper-level residence halls are scattered throughout our historic campus, with academic and dining facilities in close proximity.

Residence halls close at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14
Residence halls reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19
Spring break
Residence halls close at 8 p.m. Friday, March 7

Easter break
Residence halls close at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16

Living on Salve Regina’s Campus
Living on campus offers once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to connect with new people, seek out a student organization or attend an intriguing event. Situated along the famed Cliff Walk, Salve Regina’s coastal campus is quite walkable and features 21 historically significant structures. Our distinctive campus has been designated a Level II arboretum, with mature and exotic trees dotting the landscape. Students can also easily venture into Newport on foot or by public transportation to extend their experience.
