Personal Statement:
Originally from Long Island, New York, I grew up in a house full of medical professionals. My mom is a nurse, my dad is a surgeon and my older brother works with patients for organ donation, and while I knew I wanted to also be in a helping profession, medical school and working in a hospital was not the path for me.
After taking AP Psychology as a senior in high school, I knew that I had finally found my passion: learning about people and why they make the decisions that they do. While I was originally interested in forensic psychology (thank you, "Criminal Minds"), I realized that I really enjoyed working in a school setting and working with students. After a few years working in various high school settings, I found my way back to being on a college campus here at Salve and I absolutely love it!
