Since 2021, I have managed the threat and risk intelligence and incident response programs at Avangrid, a Connecticut-based energy company with electrical, gas and renewable assets in 25 states. The team is responsible for providing threat and risk intelligence and analysis to the physical, cyber, third party and insider risk programs. I also manage the company's incident response plan. In 2023, my team was awarded a Lewis Latimer Top Innovator Award in Design from Public Utilities Fortnightly for innovative use of the metaverse. In 2024, I was awarded a CSO50 Award for an innovative approach to public-private partnerships and the DHS Secretary's Award for helping to develop an energy sector public-private partnership.
I worked in the U.S. intelligence community from 2002-2021. From 2002-2010, I worked in the FBI counterterrorism division in Washington and was responsible for analysis of South and Central Asia-based terrorist groups and their threat to the U.S. I spent time in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and South Asia, and a year at the National Intelligence Council.
From 2010-2013, I was detailed to the National Counterterrorism Center to research terrorist threats. In 2013, I moved to the CIA, where I focused on South and Central Asia and managed a group responsible for threat analysis and technologically advanced analytic processes.
I am the recipient of three National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citations, two National Counterterrorism Center Director's Awards, the FBI Director's Award for Excellence in Analysis and an FBI Director Commendation.
I grew up in southern New Hampshire and completed my bachelor's degree at Sacred Heart University and my master's degree at Northeastern University. I have coached lacrosse for more than 20 years and am currently the coach of the Lyme-Old Lyme High School girls lacrosse team.
