Professional Experience:

I'm an entrepreneur, marketer, and educator with extensive experience in business and higher education. As Owner and President of Pretty Knotty LLC, I developed and marketed patented performance hair accessories, gaining expertise in market analysis, product development, branding, and public relations.
My passion for entrepreneurship started while working in economic development at The Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and eventually the NYC Department of Small Business Services and the Center for Women & Enterprise. Through these roles, I have experience leading workshops and providing business consultations to new founders.
I'm grateful to be able to combine my business acumen with a passion for education while teaching in higher education. I've taught various entrepreneurship and marketing courses at institutions like LIM College and Roger Williams University, where I also integrated real-world consulting projects and mentorship into my teaching.

Personal Statement:

I am passionate about lifelong learning and the opportunities it brings for growth and innovation. My love for small businesses and entrepreneurship stems from the excitement of creative problem solving and the ability to make meaningful change in the world. I particularly love marketing as it combines creativity and strategy to connect ideas with people and drive meaningful results.
I love working with college students as I admire their energy, curiosity, and willingness to explore new ideas. I strive to empower students to develop new skills, solve problems, and reach their full potential.
Seeing others grow and succeed through education and business ownership is incredibly rewarding. Please reach reach out if there’s any way I can support your academic or entrepreneurial goals.
